The government has announced further details on its support package for businesses, the Energy Bill Relief Scheme.

It’s no secret that the UK is amid an energy crisis, with supply struggling to meet demand and prices soaring. It’s important to understand what’s causing the crisis, how it’ll continue to affect your business and what you can do to limit its impact.

Opting out

If you’d like to opt out of the Energy Bill Relief Scheme, email contactus@opusenergy.com with your account id and the date you want to opt out from.

If you change your mind, you can opt back in – just email your request to the above address. Note that the scheme’s discount won’t be applied for the period in which you opted out.

Update 10-01-2023

The Government has announced a new Energy Bills Discount Scheme (EBDS) for businesses. This will run from 1 April 2023 to 31 March 2024, once the current Energy Bill Relief Scheme (EBRS) ends on 31 March 2023.

Once we have further details we’ll communicate with eligible customers nearer the time.

Customers don’t need to do anything as the support will be automatically applied to their bills.
